As a basic Pokemon, Cupricorn is very weak. Luckily, it evolves at a low level, so it's not weak for too long, and it learns some decent attacks at low levels. Still freaking adorable though!!! X3
Cupricorn's design (and of its evolutions) seem to be based around a "devil goat" theme, with the color schemes involved such as the single horn, the red "cape" for Cupricorn (which could also be a reference to matadors, athletes who show off by taunting bulls with a red cloth), and the brutish nature that the later evolutions have.
This is also further proven by the number of Dark-type moves the family can learn, and that Goabalt becomes Dark-type.
Cupricorn's shiny colors seem to signify blue flames and smoke, another common theme with devil-like beings. The "collar" around Cupricorn's neck looks more halo-like when shiny, possibly a reference to the "fallen angel", Lucifer; who has been given a goat-like appearance in some stories.
Cupricorn and its family are one of the few Fakemon families to have perfect attendance in the entire Altair/Sirius series (IE; Tanuking was planned for A/S, but did not appear until Vega). Though, the Cupricorn line are now version exclusive in Procyon (as of the 2018 beta).
Despite being of the Steel typing, none of the Cupricorn line can learn Iron Head (as of Vega).
Design Origin[]
Cupricorn is based off of mountain goats, along with what was mentioned above.
Name Origin[]
Cupricorn's name comes from Capricorn, an astrological sign of the Zodiac that has a horned goat as its symbol, and the symbol for copper, Cu. It could also incorporate the word "cute" at the beginning, signifying of Cupricorn being a "baby". Also, "Caprinae" refers to even-toed ungulates.
