Togekiss (Japanese: トゲキッス / Togekiss) is a dual-type Normal/Flying Pokémon, and is one of the official Pokémon featured in Pokémon Vega, as well as the first official Pokemon in the dex that was not in FireRed, Vega's base game.

It evolves from Togetic when exposed to a Sun Stone. It is the final form of Togepi.

Overview Edit

Being a Normal-Type, Togekiss has a lot of diversity for moves, including Aqua Bolt for Rock-types, Heat Wave for Steel-types, and a few other neat options. Once you get access to the Move Relearner, which is thankfully not in the postgame, you can gain access to Aura Sphere, which is a fantastic coverage overall for Togekiss to deal Tyranitar far better than Aqua Bolt, as well as dealing with Steel Types that resist Heat Wave. Its also decently bulky, especially on the special side. It is very diverse in terms of options other than Special Attacking. Baton Passer and Supporter with Thunder Wave and Air Slash combo are other good options to consider.

However, 80 Speed does drag it a bit down unless if it has Thunder Wave. Even though it has Aura Sphere, unless if it has a Nasty Plot up beforehand, Tyranitar does tank it very well due to Sandstorm Special Defense Boost as a Rock-Type, leaving Togekiss getting KO'd by Stone Edge or Grand Boulder. The lack of Life Orb does miss out on some KOs, even after one Nasty Plot. Other that those problems, Togekiss does very amazing work for any team.
